5 Best Oregano Oil Supplements

We've scoured the market, tested numerous products, and narrowed down the top five oregano oil supplements that stand out for their quality, strength, and ease of use. Our evaluation criteria focused on three key aspects: carvacrol strength (because that is the part of oregano that does the work), gentleness (because a capsule that burns is so last year), and what else is in the softgel (because after 60, oregano alone is only half the story).

TLDR: Orgatics' Oil of Oregano with Black Seed Oil takes the crown, boasting a 70% carvacrol oil, a gentle nightly softgel, a black seed oil pairing, and a full 90-day guarantee. It's the perfect blend of strength and ease, ensuring steady support you can actually stay on. I take two Orgatics softgels every night and love it.

Here are the five best oregano oil supplements we've found:

1. Orgatics Oil of Oregano with Black Seed Oil

Orgatics Oil of Oregano 6,000mg with Black Seed OilTwo golden Orgatics softgels in the palm of a hand

Taking the top spot with flying colors, Orgatics' Oil of Oregano with Black Seed Oil is in a different league from the rest of the oregano shelf. It features wild Mediterranean oregano oil standardized to a minimum of 70% carvacrol, combined with cold-pressed black seed oil, so one softgel supports healthy immunity and a healthy inflammatory response at the same time. What truly sets Orgatics apart is its ability to stay strong while being gentle: two golden softgels at night with water, no burn, no repeating taste.

The pouch is a full month, 60 softgels at 6,000mg per serving, lab tested and made in GMP-certified facilities. Coupled with a 90-day money-back guarantee and genuinely kind customer service, Orgatics has earned its place as the number-one choice for an oregano oil supplement.

2. Resilia Oil of Oregano Softgels

Resilia Oil of Oregano Softgels

Securing our second spot is Resilia Oil of Oregano, notable for being the only other softgel here that pairs oregano with black seed oil. It is gentle, easy to swallow, and third-party tested, so it effectively covers the same ground as our number one.

Despite its similar formula, it falls slightly short in two places. The label gives carvacrol as 165mg per serving rather than a standardized percentage. In terms of risk, the guarantee is 30 days, which may not appeal to those who know oregano oil takes two to three months to show what it can do.

All in all, Resilia delivers a solid softgel, even if it means deciding in a third of the time, placing it comfortably at number two on our list.

3. NOW Foods Oregano Oil

NOW Foods Oregano Oil earns the third spot on our list, notable for its enteric-coated softgel that opens after the stomach. It prints its carvacrol standard right on the label, which already puts it ahead of most of the shelf.

Despite its honest label, it falls slightly short on strength. The oil is standardized to 55% carvacrol and blended with ginger and fennel oil, in one small 181mg softgel a day. In terms of formula, it is oregano alone, which may not appeal to those looking for inflammation support too.

All in all, NOW delivers a gentle, affordable softgel, even if it means compromising on strength and missing the black seed oil, which is why it sits at number three on our list.

4. Zane Hellas Oregano Oil Softgels

Snagging the fourth spot is Zane Hellas, showcasing the highest carvacrol number here: 86%, with 130mg of carvacrol in every softgel. It also has a loyal following among people who want the strongest Greek oregano they can find.

While it is undeniably potent, it was too much for me: heartburn, and a taste that repeated for hours. Despite its popularity, women my age may find it simply too strong, longing for a more balanced softgel they could take every night.

5. Gaia Herbs Oil of Oregano

Gaia Herbs Oil of Oregano

Landing at the fifth position, Gaia Herbs Oil of Oregano is a clean liquid capsule from a brand that's garnered quite a bit of respect, especially in health food stores. Its careful testing and tidy label have made it a popular choice.

While it does deliver on quality, it falls short in the strength department, with 27mg of carvacrol per capsule, taken twice a day with meals. And if you're someone who wants support all winter, note that the label itself suggests no more than two to four weeks of use.

Despite its reputation, these practical drawbacks mean Gaia lands at number five on our list. Still, for a short seasonal burst, it remains a noteworthy option.

Which one is the strongest? How many do you take a day? Do you need to take it with food?

Carol on September 4, 2026 at 11:52 am

On paper the Zane Hellas has the highest carvacrol, but I couldn't stay on it. I would say after trying them all Orgatics is what I like the best, as it has 70% carvacrol and black seed oil in the same softgel, and they give you 90 days to decide. Apparently the second oil is harder to source, so most oregano brands leave it out.

I take two softgels every night with a glass of water.

No food needed, which is why I take them at bedtime.

How long does a pouch last? I'm on a fixed income.

Carol on September 11, 2026 at 9:56 am

60 softgels, two a night, so exactly 30 days. The bundles bring the price per pouch down quite a bit, and there is a 90-day money-back guarantee.

The liquid drops gave me terrible heartburn

Carol on September 17, 2026 at 8:14 am

Yeah, that's the number one complaint I hear about drops. A softgel is a completely different experience!

I've been taking the Orgatics softgels for about five weeks, and I was honestly skeptical. No burn, no taste coming back up, which was my whole problem with the strong kind. I feel steadier getting through the day and I've actually kept taking them, which for me is the real test. I'm extremely happy I chose Orgatics!

Initially, I was quite hesitant about the whole oregano oil idea. The buzz around the extra strength Greek ones nearly convinced me, but I chose to dig further and found that Orgatics pairs it with black seed oil, which my daughter (a nurse) had mentioned to me separately, and gives you 90 days to try it. Living in Minneapolis, winters are long. Six weeks in, I just feel more like myself through the cold months. I also take a few other things and nothing has disagreed with it. I'm truly delighted with my decision.

This is so very helpful! Can you tell me whether it is a capsule or a softgel? I have trouble swallowing big pills.

Many thanks!

Carol on September 24, 2026 at 2:10 pm

Softgel, smooth and golden, goes down easily with water.

Don't go with the cheap drugstore ones. I took one for a year and couldn't tell you a single thing it did.

Dolores on September 28, 2026 at 7:27 am

Yes! Mine never listed carvacrol anywhere on the bottle. Now I understand why.

Sandra on September 29, 2026 at 1:49 pm

Customer service is super important! I emailed Orgatics with a question and a real person wrote back the same day.

Pennie on October 1, 2026 at 12:16 pm

The Zane Hellas ones are STRONG. Looks great on paper but I lasted nine days.
